Temporary crowns
What a temporary crown does while your permanent restoration is made and how to look after it.

A temporary crown protects a prepared tooth, keeps neighbouring teeth from shifting and lets you chew and smile while the laboratory makes the permanent crown, usually within one to two weeks.
Looking after it
- Avoid sticky or very hard food.
- Brush normally but floss by pulling the thread out sideways rather than up.
- If it comes off, keep it and call us; do not glue it yourself.
