Can a non-EU citizen buy here?
Usually yes, subject to reciprocity rules or residence status. Buying does not itself grant a visa. We ask the notary to confirm eligibility before any deposit.
Do I need an Italian bank account?
In practice yes: the price and the taxes are paid by bank cheque at the deed. You also need a tax code (codice fiscale). We help with both.
How long does a purchase take?
From a few weeks to a few months, depending on document checks, financing and the notary's calendar.
Must I be in Italy to sign?
Not necessarily. A special power of attorney, notarised and apostilled with an Italian translation, is accepted by most notaries.
